The Sant Jordi Celebrations of Vilanova i la Geltrú, 2011

Like every year, on April 23 the Catalans celebrated their patron saint Sant Jordi (Saint George) with books and roses. Here in Vilanova the rain which we had been warned about did not materialize so we could enjoy the colorful mix of commerce and culture so typical for this day. As usual, not only book and flower sellers had erected their stands in the rambla, but also NGOs and political parties.
