Like every year, on
April 23 the Catalans celebrated their patron saint
Sant Jordi (Saint George) with
books and
roses. Here in Vilanova the rain which we had been warned about did not materialize so we could enjoy the
colorful mix of commerce and culture so typical for this day. As usual, not only book and flower sellers had erected their stands in the
rambla, but also NGOs and political parties.
