The politicians of the town council (
ajuntament) in
Calafell (Baix Penedès) have unanimously adopted the project to build a
secondary school (institute) in the area of
Segur, between
l’avinguda Brasil and
carrer de la Cúspide, to be more precise.
The drawings will now have to be approved by the provincial commission for urban planning (
commissió territorial d’urbanisme) in Tarragona. A tougher challenge will be to receive the
financing. The
Generalitat - the regional authority of Catalonia - confirms that this school is among its
top priorities but has not yet earmarked any funds for it.
