During the human tower exhibition in Mataró last weekend, the Castellers de Vilafranca (Alt Penedès) became the first team of the 2011 season to complete a construction from the gamma extra. This is the name of the absolutely most difficult castells and what the “green team” ("els Verds") managed to build and dismantle was a tower of 9 levels, with 2 people per level (torre de 9).
Personally, I will be extremely disappointed if this team does not offer us an equally advanced construction on July 30 when they will take part in the Festa Major celebrations of Vilanova i la Geltrú. My dream? A 4de9 amb l'agulla, of course!
