In the name of plurality, CiU of Vilafranca del Penedès (Alt Penedès) have decided to form a local minority government based on 9 seats (+1) – lead by sitting Mayor Pere Regull. They thereby turned down an offer by PP with 2 seats (+1) to enter into a formal cooperation during the coming four years. The other parties represented in the local town council are PSC (6 (-2)), CUP (2 (+/-0)), ERC (1 (+(-0)) and ICV (1 (+/-0)).
